Fair elections have no alternative, therefore the attempts at vote buying and perverting the June 9 elections in any other way will be met by the caretaker government's firm resistance, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said here on Thursday. He was speaking at the opening of the caretaker cabinet's first sitting.
"With the Council of Ministers' first sitting, we launch the active preparation of fair and free elections on June 9. As a caretaker cabinet, this is our top priority and we will implement it strictly, observing the Constitution and the country's laws, in close cooperation with the Central Election Commission," Glavchev said.
The caretaker government prepares the elections but does not run in them, he underscored.
