Parliament will discuss at the first reading amendments to the Health Act, submitted by Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) co-leader Kiril Petkov and a group of MPs, according to the draft agenda of the National Assembly.

The amendments propose that the treatment of rare diseases with medicinal products and dietary foods for special medical purposes, which started before the patient was 18 years old, should continue to be paid for by the state budget after the patient is 18 years old until the treatment is completed. According to the sponsors, this will guarantee access to treatment and ensure its continuity for these patients, regardless of their age.

The MPs are scheduled to start work with the discussion of the first reading of two bills on amendments to the Railway Transport Act by CC-DB's Dimitar Naydenov and the Council of Ministers.

The draft agenda also includes the second reading of the amendments to the European Investigation Order Act and the Tax and Social Security Procedure Code, and the second vote on a bill to ratify the Agreement on the participation of the Republic of Bulgaria in the OECD Programme for Ukraine with a voluntary financial contribution of EUR 60,000 (BGN 117,350).
