1998: An explosive device goes off in front of the editorial offices of the newspapers published by Media Holding AD in Sofia. Nobody is hurt. The neighbouring buildings sustain damages.
1999: The EU-Bulgaria Joint Consultative Committee holds its constituent meeting.
