Nearly 14,000 undeclared textile items have been seized by customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing, the Customs Agency said in a press release on Thursday.
On December 19, during the inspection of a Turkish-plated truck customs officers found156 parcels with undeclared textiles in the freight compartment. A total of 13,986 items of clothing were found, including T-shirts, shirts, track suits, jackets, underwear, and hats with the logos of commercial brands.
The Turkish driver has been issued with a statement under the Customs Act
Since the beginning of the year customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing have intercepted over 1 090,000 items with the protected brand logos.
