site.btaBulgaria's Ludogorets Scores 2:1 against Azerbaijan's Qarabag in Champions League Qualifiers
Bulgarian champion Ludogorets, Razgrad on Tuesday scored 2:1 away to Qarabag (Azerbaijan) in the first match of the third qualifying round in the Champions League.
Ludogorets dealt with the initial home pressure and managed to establish a better control of the ball, but did not reach any major danger to the hosts' goal.
By the end of the first half, midfield action and tough tackling became more frequent, but clean scoring chances in front of both goals were lacking.
The goals were scored for Qarabag (Azerbaijan) by Juninho (in the 65th minute), for Ludogorets by Dinis Almeida (56th minute) and Caio Vidal (87th minute).
Ludogorets' Bernard Tekpetey got injured in the 61st minute and had to be stretchered off the pitch.
The second match between the two teams will take place in Razgrad at 9 p.m. on August 13.
