site.btaBSP Leader Ninova: Party Has Begun Talks for Support in Local Election Runoffs, TISP to Back Sofia Mayor Candidate Vanya Grigorova

Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Korneliya Ninova Monday said that her formation is holding talks with the rest of the parties about the runoffs across the country in which the BSP will take part, starting with Sofia.  “I held talks with [There Is Such a People (TISP) Leader] Slavi Trifonov. TISP will back our candidate Vanya Grigorova,” Ninova added, as quoted by her party’s press centre. 

BTA has asked TISP to confirm this statement, but the party has not commented on it yet. 

Asked to comment on which of the Sofia mayor candidates his party will back in the runoffs, Vazrazhdane MP Ivaylo Chorbov said that this is a matter of party politics and is yet to be discussed. “Personally, I will not back either of the two candidates,” Chorbov added.
