In a press release Wednesday, Vazrazhdane called on three other parliamentary groups: Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), There Is Such a People (TISP), and BSP for Bulgaria to boycott an extraordinary plenary sitting Parliament is supposed to hold on Friday to try to override a presidential veto on revisions to the Energy Act. The Vazrazhdane Parliamentary Group will not be present in the debating chamber on Friday. "Bulgarian MPs are not to be kept on a tight leash by [Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Co-Floor Leader Delyan] Peevski to summon them at any time that he fancies," the press release reads.

"We urge CC-DB, BSP and TISP to follow suit so they can foil GERB and MRF's plans and prove that they are not pushovers at Peevski's beck and call. Let them refute this fact by not setting foot in the debating chamber on Friday,” Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov commented.

Vazrazhdane recalled that the President's reasons to impose a veto fully repeat the arguments the party put forward during the debate on the amendments to the Energy Act in early October.
