Energy Minister Rumen Radev met Saturday with protesting energy workers and miners, who are blocking the Trakia Motorway. He stated that the concern over jobs is shared and the state and the protesters are not on different sides regarding the issue.

"If we want to be successful in what we do, we have to have everyone's support, not just our internal support," he added. Radev presented what happened during the meeting held earlier during the day with the management of TPP Maritsa East 2 and Mines Maritsa East.

"We have to deliver these projects, good or bad. It is a long process of validation and communication with the European Commission," he explained. Radev urged not to confuse the Territorial Just Transition Plans with project planning. "For good projects to be realized, first there must be conscientious managers and developers to come up with them and those to write and defend them," the Energy Minister stressed.
