Issuing a final ruling, the Supreme Administrative Court has upheld a decision by the Commission for Countering Corruption and Illegal Assets Forfeiture in a conflict of interest case against former Krasno selo borough mayor Rossina Stanislavova, the Commission said.

Stanislavova has been fined for designating herself as leader of an EU-funded project, setting an hourly rate and assigning herself extra work in 2020.

This is the second decision of the Counter-corruption Commission that the Court has upheld establishing conflict of interest with regards to Stanislavova.

In the first instance she signed an employment contract with her daughter under an EU-funded project. For that she was fined BGN 5,000, the minimum amount envisaged in legislation.
