There is an attitude among the majority in this committee and in Parliament in the next days to submit a single draft for amendments to the Constitution, said on Tuesday at the beginning of a session of the parliamentary committee for constitutional affairs, Radomir Cholakov of GERB-UDF, who chairs the committee.
He said that the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, BSP for Bulgaria and Vazrazhdane have been invited to submit their ideas for amendments.
The meeting was attended by Justice Minister Atanas Slavov and experts.
Days earlier, Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria announced their proposals for changes to the Constitution. These include amendments related to the tenure of the prosecutor general, the composition and the mandate of the Supreme Judicial Council, the individual constitutional complaint, to the statute of the caretaker government, and the mandate of mayors.
