site.btaAttempts at Disinformation about Bulgaria’s Support for Ukraine Are Unacceptable

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has reacted to a statement of Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova posted on social media, which makes allegations about Bulgaria’s support for Ukraine.

Russian Ambassador Mitrofanova alleged that Bulgaria will be sending troops to Ukraine.

The Foreign Ministry says: Bulgaria condemns categorically Russia’s unprecedented and unprovoked military aggression against Ukraine and contributes to the international efforts in support of the country. We are consistent in our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and our unconditional support for its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders including territorial waters.”

The support which Bulgaria providеs to Ukraine is in compliance with the laws and rules and any attempts at propaganda and disinformation which compromise democratic values are unacceptable, the Foreign Ministry says.
