site.btaForeign Minister Meets with Germany’s Representative for Western Balkans

Caretaker Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov held a meeting with Manuel Sarrazin, Special Representative of the German Foreign Ministry for the Western Balkans, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Monday.

The main focus of the talks was the importance of regional cooperation, in particular within the framework of the Berlin Process, in helping to deepen economic integration, bringing the Western Balkans region closer to EU values and socio-economic standards.

Views were exchanged on the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries. The importance of the principle of own merits and the fulfilment of commitments to the EU was reaffirmed.

President Rumen Radev and Sarrazin discussed the same topics in late July.
