The Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism participates in the international tourism exhibition PHILOXENIA 2024, which was opened on November 14 and will continue until November 16 in Thessaloniki, Greece, the Ministry said Thursday. The event is a key platform for interaction between the tourism sector from the Balkans and Southeast Europe, bringing together destinations, agencies and tour operators with a focus on new tourism offers and trends.

The Bulgarian stand, located on an area of 100 sq. m., has a completely renewed design and includes an enhanced digital presentation that emphasizes the diversity of Bulgarian tourism products. Through modern technologies and visualizations, Bulgaria presents attractive opportunities for winter, cultural, eco, wine, culinary and other types of tourism.

The three-day event brings together representatives from the entire tourism sector, including tourist destinations, regional organizations, hotels, agencies, as well as specialized press and media. PHILOXENIA has a long tradition and is a prestigious event for the tourism industry in the Balkans. In 2023, the exhibition attracted over 25,000 visitors and included 431 exhibitors.

The Bulgarian stand will be attended by key representatives from the Bulgarian tourism sector, including Grand Hotels Management & Marketing Ltd, Tsarevgrad Tarnov Ltd, Bansko Municipality, Stara Zagora Municipality, Sofia Municipality OP Tourism and Sandanski Municipality.

PHILOXENIA 2024 offers significant opportunities to promote Bulgaria as a leading tourist destination in the region and to establish new partnerships and prospects in tourism.
