Turkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met in Sofia Monday with officials of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF). The MRF press office reported of a meeting with the party's nominated co-leaders Delyan Peevski and Dzhevdet Chakarov. MRF former leader Mustafa Karadayi posted on his social media about a meeting with Fidan.
The meeting with Peevski and Chakarov took place in the Turkish Ambassador's Residence in Sofia.
Karadayi said that during his protocol meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister they discussed the goodneighbourly and friendly relations between the two countries.
Fidan is paying an official visit to Bulgaria on Tuesday at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel.
The visit's programme includes a bilateral meeting with Gabriel and plenary talks between the two delegations. Topical issues on the bilateral and international agenda will be discussed.
During the day, Fidan will meet with representatives of the legislative and executive authorities in Bulgaria.
