A 27-year-old Romanian woman with Israeli citizenship was killed in the Gaza Strip, after being held hostage by Hamas, said the Romanian Foreign Ministry, citing information from the Israeli authorities. The Ministry has sent condolences to the bereaved family.
The woman, Inbar Haiman, was an art student and created street art under the pseudonym "Pink", said the embassy of Israel in Bucharest on their official Facebook page.
Inbar was abducted by Hamas terrorists on October 7 from the Supernova Music Festival in the desert in southern Israel. The young woman was a volunteer at the festival, Digi 24 TV recalled.
Currently, one more person with Israeli and Romanian dual citizenship is still among the hostages in the Gaza Strip, said the Romanian Foreign Ministry.
The Romanian embassy in Tel Aviv is in contact with the Israeli authorities.
