Bulgarian, Romanian Economy Ministers to Open Conference with Business Representatives from Both Countries

Economy and Industry Minister Bogdan Bogdanov and his Romanian counterpart, Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Stefan-Radu Oprea will open on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Ruse a Bulgarian-Romanian business conference on the European path to economic security and sustainable integration, Bogdanov's ministry said on Tuesday. 

The main topic will be losses for the region and investors from the postponement of the accession of the two countries to the Schengen area from the perspective of bilateral foreign chambers of commerce.

The economic future of the region, key infrastructure projects, and best business practices are also expected to be discussed.

The event will be attended by investors, representatives of foreign and local businesses and chambers of commerce from both countries.

MEPs, representatives of the diplomatic corps and local authorities are also invited.

The forum is organised by the Economy Ministries of Bulgaria and Romania.
