An exhibition of 46 paintings by Romanian artists is hosted by Art Gallery Prof. Ilia Petrov in Razgrad. The exhibition, entitled We, is the first that the artists, Ioana Lavinia Streinu and Eusebio Spinu, are presenting outside Romania, the gallery director Todor Todorov said.

Streinu was among the laureates of the tenth edition of the National Exhibition Ludogorie in Razgrad, which allowed her to unveil her own exhibition in the Razgrad gallery. She shared that she needs painting to breathe and exist. Streinu said that while oil painting gives her a sense of lightness, it also comes with the challenge of having your works compared with those by the Renaissance masters.

Spinu said that his research has him explore Dobrudzha, which inspires him to work with ceramics and acrylic on canvas.

Razgrad Mayor Dobrin Dobrev, who attended the opening of the exhibition, expressed his happiness with the growing international participation in the expositions at the art gallery in the city.

Impressed by the positive feedback at the event, Spinu said that he is donating one of his paintings to the fund of the Razgrad gallery. The gallery director invited Streinu and Spinu to have a second exhibition, this time of ceramics and graphics.

The exhibition will be open for visitors until early January, 2024.
