The general hospital in the Montenegrin town of Berane has purchased medical equipment with a donation of EUR 35,000 from Bulgaria. The cash donation was provided as part of a local project for coronavirus response in Northern Montenegro under an agreement between the hospital and the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry of December 2021.
Thanks to the official aid from Bulgaria, the infectious diseases ward of the hospital now has 19 hydraulic hospital beds with oxygen supply to each bed. The equipment greatly improves the quality of the medical care in the hospital, as well as in the town and the entire region which is at a considerable distance from the capital Podgorica.
