site.btaBulgarian Language Gaining Popularity among Shopkeepers in Turkey
Many shopkeepers in the Turkish town of Edirne are improving their knowledge of the Bulgarian language so as to be of better service to their customers. The town, which is close to the border with Bulgaria, has long attracted Bulgarian visitors but the inflow increased strongly after a decision in July of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that allowed Bulgarian visitors to enter Turkey with just their national IDs.
