Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) correspondent in Stara Zagora Pavlina Dudeva was awarded with a diploma for promoting the archive activities in the category Friend of the Archive 2023. The ceremony was held Monday in the building of the State Archives in Stara Zagora on the occasion of International Archives Day.

"June 9 is Archives Community Day. The members of the International Council on Archives decided to declare June 9 as International Archives Day at an annual general meeting in Quebec, Canada, in November 2007," said Kalina Madjarova, the head of the State Archives in Stara Zagora. She added that “the day was not chosen by chance, but because the International Council on Archives was founded on June 9, 1948 in Paris. Since 2011, International Archives Day has been celebrated in Bulgarian archives." In Madjarova's words, the BTA archive activity is significant and helps the Bulgarian archives.
