Yambol Municipality condoles with the family of sea captain Marin Marinov, who was killed in the Gaza Strip on March 19. Messages with his photo were published on the official Facebook pages of Yambol Mayor Valentin Revanski and Yambol Municipality.

“Captain Marinov, who lived in Yambol, was a long-serving tanker Master, and in recent years he worked for the UN, most recently holding the position of coordinator in Jordan. In the course of his work, he was often sent to the Gaza Strip where he helped many people. We hope that those responsible for this tragedy will be identified!” Yambol Municipality said.

"Known as an extremely hard-working and dedicated professional, he leaves a bright memory among his colleagues and friends. Marin Marinov was the father of two children, aged 29 and 25. May he rest in peace," the message said.
