site.btaGERB Leader: Conspiracy against Government Has Succeeded, President Cannot Continue with His Hypocrisy

Speaking to reporters here on Friday, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said: "The conspiracy has succeeded, and they have robbed us. President [Rumen] Radev cannot continue with his hypocrisy, because his judges did all of this." Borissov was commenting no Thursday's Constitutional Court ruling outlawing the election of 16 MPs, including three members of his parliamentary group, and letting the Velichie [Grandeur] party in Parliament with 10 MPs.

Borissov added that when the National Assembly elects Constitutional Court judges, there are commissions, hearings and it is known who has nominated whom, while when the President appoints judges on his quota, he does so unilaterally. Regarding the violations established by the Constitutional Court within the case challenging the legitimacy of the October 27, 2024 parliamentary elections, Borissov commented: "To write zero [valid votes] for Sofia's Triaditsa district and to steal the majority shows that there already are obvious wishes for the Government to fall."
