site.btaInnovation Minister, Israeli Ambassador Discuss Startups and Promotion of Israeli Investment in Bulgaria

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev met with Israeli Ambassador to Bulgaria Yosef Levi Sfari, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth  reported via its official Viber channel on Friday. The sides discussed innovation infrastructure as well as the development of Bulgarian industry's potential.

At the meeting, the sides also commented on the excellent relations between Bulgaria and Israel and the opportunities to deepen them by strengthening economic, cultural and educational cooperation. 

Support for startups was also among the topics discussed. Deputy Prime Minister Donchev announced that he would apply the experience and good practices of Israel in terms of startups, which he had become acquainted with during his specialization there.

The sides also discussed the matter of promoting Israeli investment in Bulgaria, with a focus on high value-added products and the high-tech sector, the Ministry reported.
