site.btaPolice Arrest Brazilian with Two Kilos of Cocaine

The Varna Police have detained a Brazilian national in Provadia with nearly 2 kilograms of cocaine, the Regional Directorate of the Interior said on Monday.

During a car inspection, the 24-year-old Brazilian was found to be carrying a white powdery substance in his personal luggage. Upon expert examination, the substance proved to be cocaine weighing 1,800 grams and worth around BGN 450,000.

The man was detained for a period of 24 hours and pre-trail proceedings have been initiated.
