A growing number of organizations are joining the afforestation initiative of the so-called 7th Kilometre area near Stara Zagora, said the press centre of Stara Zagora Municipality on Wednesday. Videoton Bulgaria has expressed its active support for the initiative and has appealed to its employees and their families to participate in the afforestation.

"Videoton Bulgaria shows responsibility for the green future of Stara Zagora and expresses support for such socially significant actions. I myself will be there with my family, because I believe that a personal example is extremely important," said VT DZU AD Executive Director Yordan Stoyanov.

The joint initiative of the Municipality with the Stara Zagora State Forestry will take place on Saturday, February 1, when 24,000 saplings will be planted on the terrain of the 7th Kilometre, where a large fire raged in July 2024.

Stara Zagora Municipality has invited companies, institutions, non-governmental organizations and residents of Stara Zagora to participate in the afforestation initiative.
