Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh has presented diplomas to Bulgaria’s top hotels as ranked by the BestHotels.bg platform, Borshosh’s Ministry said in a press release on Sunday. The TOP 100 Best Hotels in Bulgaria ranking recognizes hotels that have achieved the highest levels of customer satisfaction over the past year.
Addressing the participants in the ceremony, Borshosh said: "You can count on me as a responsible and committed partner. My task will be to protect your interests and help address your problems".
The TOP 100 Best Hotels in Bulgaria ranking is a project of the organizers behind the Hotel & Tourism Investment Forum (HTIF). It is based on more than half a million guest ratings and reviews collected from various booking platforms.
The winners span a range of categories, from boutique hotels to large luxury resorts, all of which have impressed their guests with their excellent service and comfort.
The quality of hotel services in Bulgaria was on the rise in 2024 for the second year in a row, according to a HTIF survey.
The HotScore index, which measures the guest satisfaction across hotels in Bulgaria, rose by 0.9 points to 72.4 in 2024. Although slightly lower than the 1.5-point rise in 2023, this increase signals a steady positive trend in service quality, the organization said.
The growth is encouraging because it clearly shows that despite several challenges facing the sector, including rising prices of basic goods and services, labour shortage, political uncertainty and other negative factors, the hotel service quality is improving, the HTIF study found.
