on Investment in Digital Economy

Sofia, July 26 (BTA) - The Transport, IT and Communications Ministry calls on Bulgarian organizations and citizens to participate in the European Commission's public consultation on the Digital Europe programme in the 2021-2027 period, the Ministry said in a press release Friday.

The Digital Europe programme, which has a budget of 9.2 billion euro, plans the priorities of future investment in digital economy. From July 25 to October 25, citizens and businesses can have their say on the key areas, elements and priorities of the first two years (2021 and 2022) of the programme by taking a survey online at https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/news/ have-your-say-future-investmnt-europes-digital-economy.

Able to take part in the consultation are all interested parties: SMEs, big companies, public administration, scientific research organizations, NGOs, civil organizations, the academic community, and citizens.

The questions are related to the interested parties' opinion in several priority areas: high performance computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The Digital Europe Programme also pays great attention to short-term training programmes for advanced digital skills and to the adoption of digital solutions by all sectors of economy and society.
