Prosecution Circulates
Evidence in NRA Hacking Case
to Media

August 1 (BTA) - In what is described as an unprecedented move, the Specialized Prosecutor's office Thursday published portions of evidence it has collected in a cyberterrorism investigation against the owner of TAD Group, Ivan Todorov, business director Georgi Yankov, and 20-year-old Christian Boykov, who were charged in connection with a July 15 hacking of the databases of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) that leaked the personal data of millions of Bulgarians.

The published evidence contains a total of 13 files, including screenshots from computers, a phone, as well as security camera footage at TAD Group, with explanatory notes on what it is, said Dnevnik.bg.

The specialized prosecuting magistracy also said that a total of 49 commercial companies were subject to unsuccessful attempts for unauthorized access.

The investigation into the hacking attack also uncovered a collection of leaked personal data of a number of magistrates. The civil officers in question are mainly prosecutors and investigators, and the file was titled "Ne se chistiiiii" ("Do Not Deleteee"), said the Specialized Prosecutor's Office.

A file of the same name ("NE SE CHISTIIII") containing personal data of Judge Miroslava Todorova and her family had been published by mistake on the Supreme Judicial Council Inspectorate website in late July. The SJC Inspectorate admitted that this was а mistake on their part. IG/DT
