site.btaBulgaria's Minister Tahov to Take Part in EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council

Bulgaria's caretaker Minister of Agriculture and Food, Georgi Tahov, will participate in a meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council in Brussels on Monday, Tahov's Ministry said.

The meeting will address the agricultural markets situation following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The Council will also hold a public discussion on the second year of implementation of the strategic plans under the common agricultural policy. 

Bulgaria will request the suspension of egg imports from Ukraine at the upcoming meeting, Tahov said at a meeting with farmers in the southern town of Kardzhali on September 19.
