The Pazardzhik Art Gallery will be hosted in Sofia with the exhibition "From Zlatyu Boyadzhiev to Lyuben Zidarov: Landscapes from the Collection of Pazardzhik Art Gallery." It will be on display from May 8 to 26 at the Artmark Gallery in the Bulgarian capital, the organizers announced.

The exhibition includes over 30 works selected from the gallery’s permanent collection. The viewers will be able to see pieces shown for the first time in Sofia, where the landscape genre is represented in its broadest and most expressive palette - from idyllic Bulgarian rural scenes to urban rhythms and foreign vistas interpreted through the sensibilities of Bulgarian artists, the team noted.

According to them, all the artworks are by some of the most prominent names in Bulgarian painting - artists who shaped and influenced the entire history of art in the country - such as Zlatyu Boyadzhiev, Genko Genkov, Alexander Petrov, Dimitar Kirov, and Lyuben Zidarov.

The organizers highlight that a central piece in the exhibition is the exceptional painting "Landscape from Holland" by Zlatyu Boyadzhiev, created in 1975. “Rich in depth, technical mastery, and emotional power, it is a true masterpiece that rarely leaves museum walls. It is valued not only for its artistic merit but also for its historical significance: it is one of the last works by the artist, marking the end of his career, and represents a unique opportunity for the public to see it in person in Sofia,” they added.
