A website for the unregulated sale of medicines on the internet has been suspended after an alert was received by the Consumer Protection Commission (CPC), the CPC said on its website. The website was offering medical products of unclear origin and questionable qualities.
Experts from the CPC carried out an inspection, which found that an unlicensed online pharmacy running a website was offering unauthorised medicinal products for sale. With the assistance of the Directorate General for Combating Organised Crime (DGCOC), the hosting service provider was contacted, which disabled access to the site and removed the illegal content.
