site.btaUPDATED Caretaker Interior Minister Stoyanov Has Not Received Invitation to Keep Ministerial Post in Next Caretaker Cabinet

Caretaker Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov told journalists in Koprivshtitsa on Wednesday that he had not received an invitation to be a minister in the next caretaker cabinet.

Stoyanov was in Koprivshtitsa, Western Bulgaria, to inaugurate the restored police station there. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister-designate Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva was welcomed by Stoyanov for a meeting at the Interior Ministry.

Two meetings were held on her initiative, Stoyanov said. One was with the professional leadership of the ministry, and the members of the political cabinet were not present there. According to Stoyanov, one by one every regional director familiarized Kozhareva with the structures' achievements, results, problems and possible ways to solve them.

The following meeting was with the ministry's political cabinet - Stoyanov and three deputy ministers. In his words, the meeting was professional. Some additional analyses and reports were requested and will be provided in the coming days, Stoyanov said.
