site.btaBorder Traffic Update
Traffic is heavy at several border crossing checkpoints on Wednesday morning, Border Police said on its website.
On the border with Romania, exiting truck traffic is heavy at the border crossing checkpoints Kardam and Durankulak.
Due to major repairs on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse, a temporary traffic organization has been introduced using one lane and traffic lights.
In addition to Ruse, drivers in the region can also head to the checkpoints Silistra, Kardam, Durankulak, Kainardzha and Krushari.
On the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. In view of the significantly increased number of crossings at Kulata and Makaza and the large number of Romanian tourists travelling to and from Greece, Border Police recommend the use of alternative crossing points at the Bulgarian-Greek border, which are less congested and allow faster crossing.
Only cars and vans are allowed to pass through the border crossing points Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.
On the border with Serbia, entering car traffic is heavy at Kalotina.
On the border with North Macedonia, traffic is normal at all border crossing points.
On the border with Turkiye, exiting car traffic is heavy at Kapitan Andreevo.
