MRF’s Stanislav Anastasov Heads Environment Committee, Khalil Letifov - Transport Committee

MP Stanislav Anastasov of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Tuesday was elected chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Environment and Water, his party reported Wednesday. Mladen Shishkov of GERB-UDF, Tatyana Sultanova of Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) and Vera Alexandrova of Vazrazhdane have been elected as Deputy Chairs of the Committee.

155 MPs supported the committee’s membership and leadership, three MPs voted against and five abstained. Under the decision setting up the committee, it shall consist of 21 deputies.

Khalil Letifov of MRF was elected Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport and Communications. He headed the Committee in the previous National Assembly.

Andrey Runchev of GERB-UDF, Nikola Dimitrov of Vazrazhdane, Borislav Gutsanov of Bulgarian Socialist Party and Ivan Kyuchukov of There Is Such a People have been elected as Deputy Chairs.

The decision on the composition of the Committee was adopted with 159 votes in favour, one against, and six abstentions. The Transport Committee is to be composed of 21 MPs.
