If Continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria" (CC-DB) don’t accept our proposal, we are going to elections, said Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov on Nova TV.

He said that CC-DB have one MP more than Vazrazhdane and asked on what grounds they should set conditions for the others. "We say that we will support their proposed anti-corruption measures. We are proposing referendums, we are not proposing that they declare themselves against the euro or against the lev," he said.

On Tuesday, Vazrazhdane said it would support CC-DB’s declaration if the CC-DB supported the declaration of Vazrazhdane. Kostadin Kostinov's party proposed its own draft declaration to the National Assembly on consolidating the democratic principles of governance in the country and resolving the crisis of the political process in the country. It contains seven points expressing the will to hold five referendums on important public issues, to renegotiate the conditions for membership of the European Union (EU) and to adopt a law on the registration of foreign agents.

“There Is Such a People supported our proposal to submit a request for a referendum on the preservation of the Bulgarian lev, which has been submitted to the National Assembly. They have clearly stated that they will vote in favour of adopting the euro in the referendum. This is the rule of the Bulgarian citizens,” Kostadinov said.

He stressed that there can be no fight against corruption if there is no rule of law. "In the last few decades Bulgarians have got used to the fact that nothing depends on their vote and this is one of the reasons why we have a low voter turnout", Kostadinov added.

CC-DB proposed that the President delay by three months the handing of the second cabinet-forming mandate to their parliamentary group to allow them time to seek broad public support for a proposed declaration on resolving the political crisis and voting through  anti-corruption legislation.
