Movement for Rights and Freedoms Chairperson Dzhevdet Chakarov Saturday met with MRF Honorary Chairman Ahmed Dogan in his residence in Rosenets Park near Burgas, on the Black Sea.
Before the meeting, he answered questions from journalists. Asked what brings him to Rosenets for a second week, Chakarov said: "It is normal to come here, I will have a personal meeting to discuss current issues with the honorary chairman Dr Ahmed Dogan. That is, generally speaking, and what I want to tell you is that this is scheduled for today. The programme, as far as I know, does not provide for a meeting with other colleagues today. Tomorrow, too, there are no major events or meetings planned."
Asked to comment on the six resignations requested by Ahmed Dogan, none of which he has received at this stage, Dzhevdet Chakarov said that everything was clearly said, without any ambiguities, so it is hardly necessary to comment on the address of the honorary chairman.
Responding to a question about whether a Central Council would be convened to take the final decision, Chakarov said: "We thank the people, the structures, the entire public for the support we are receiving. It is very important that all parties in the country function with democratic principles. This also applies to our political force, the MRF, which has traditions in this respect. I have already said that the MRF has all the prerequisites and resistance forces to be this way."
"I want to say in advance that if there is something to be reported, you will be properly informed," he added.
