Kornelia Ninova is the chair of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and any document signed by another is illegal, said Nionva on Bulgarian National Television on Saturday.

We are facing a serious court drama, unfortunately. As we speak, I am the chair. The court's decision to strike me off has not entered into force, as there is a deadline for appeal, Ninova said. She said that she would appeal the decision. Socialists from all over the country are calling me, she said. It will go to a second-instance court, we do not know when, but, we are entering a heavy legal procedure, the MP said.

Atanas Zafirov is not registered as chairman and it cannot happen because he is not elected in direct election by all socialists, explained Ninova. She explained that he is registered as a representative.

The resignation has been submitted and there is no turning back said Ninova. She said that until the proceedings are over, the registration of Zafirov cannot take effect. “I am the acting chair and what they are doing will drag the BSP into very big problems,” Ninova said.

Any document currently signed by another is illegal, she said. They are signing documents, they are de facto running the party, they are going to hold talks about a government of some kind and they are not legitimate to do that, Ninova said.

Asked whether she sees a chance of forming a government in this parliament, Ninova said that unfortunately it is decreasing.
