February 3 (BTA) - Two Bulgarian youths who were evacuated from Wuhan on a French plane as part of a Europewide airlift operation and who arrived in Bulgaria via Istres, Southern France, late on Sunday, have tested negative for the new coronavirus, head of the Infectious Diseases Unit in the Military Medical Academy (MMA) Georgi Popov told a briefing,
The two youths who were flown to Bulgaria on board a Spartan military transport plane were admitted to the MMA in good health condition. They will be quarantined and kept under observation for 14 days. The coronavuris tests will be repeated in the middle of the incubation period.
Chief State Health Inspector Angel Kounchev said that all necessary preventive measures have been put in place. Medical teams have been dispatched to the airports in Sofia, Varna and Bourgas. RI/ZH//
