site.btaKey to Unleashing Innovation Dam Is Ambition, Dronamics CEO Svilen Rangelov Says

Addressing the third and final day of the Green Transition Forum 4.0 which is taking place in Sofia June 26-28, Dronamics co-founder and CEO Svilen Rangelov said that it takes courage to be ambitious, but that is the key to unleashing the innovation dam. "And that is exactly what the Green Agenda is all about. You have to give yourself permission to be ambitious, sometimes that can take decades, but you need to be able to plan 10 years ahead," Rangelov underscored.

This is the fourth edition of the forum organized by Dir.bg and 3E News with BTA as a media partner.

Rangelov expressed his gratitude to the European Innovation Council for the funding it granted to Dronamics because it was key to the company’s development. He commented on the financing of innovative companies in Europe, pointing out that when a company reaches a certain stage in its development it faces difficulties in securing finance.

"In Europe, when a company reaches a certain stage in its development, the only investors willing to take risk are outside Europe. The biggest and most powerful companies are not European and that is the problem because Europe prides itself on its social contract, but business seems to be outside Europe. So, a lot more money is needed to flow into the system," Rangelov explained.

In his words, it is important to unlock potential and to create digital skills at an earlier stage - perhaps it is too late for that to happen in high school, he added.
