A June 17 meeting of Montenegro's Prime Minister Milojko Spajić with visiting Bulgarian President Rumen Radev was delayed by the host and the Bulgarian head of State left before it took place, the President's Press Secretariat told BTA Tuesday. "It is only natural for the head of State to decline a meeting for which the host is not ready," the Press Secretariat told BTA.
Radev arrived for an official visit to Montenegro at the invitation of President Jakov Milatović. He was welcomed with an official ceremony by his Montenegrin counterpart at the presidential palace Plavi dvorac in Cetinje.
Radev was also set to meet with PM Spajic at 17:00 in the Montenegrin government building, but he and his delegation left after a four-minute wait, according to Montenegro’s government press service. It also said that Spaić's earlier meeting with Germany's largest tour operator TUI lasted three minutes longer than planned, which caused the delay.
