site.btaGovernment Allocates BGN 10.5 Mln for Karlovo Disaster Recovery

The government allocated BGN 10.5 million to address the aftermath of the devastating floods that swept through the Karlovo region in 2022, said the government press office Wednesday.

The Council of Ministers approved a resolution to approve additional transfers from the State Budget Act reserve for 2024. Karlovo municipality’s budget has been adjusted to include allocations for unexpected or immediate costs associated with disaster management and mitigation.

The budget was increased with funds earmarked for activities aimed at reducing disaster risks, emergency operations costs, and infrastructure recovery.
