The participants will discuss the prospects along Bulgaria’s road to the eurozone and full-fledged membership of the Schengen area and the vigorous technological changes in financial services and the environmental, social and governance (ESG) trends.

Geoff Gottlieb, IMF Senior Regional Representative for Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, will outline Bulgaria’s macroeconomic priorities and the pace of global trends as the country advances towards the euro changeover. The subject will be discussed further by panelists from the Ministry of Finance, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and the Institute for Market Economics.

A new topic this year deals with energy security. The discussants include Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (ICGB) Co-Chief Executive Officer George Satlas and Dimitar Bartov of Synergon, said the organizers of Profit.bg.
