site.btaGERB-UDF Coalition Launches Election Campaign in Sofia Province

Members of the GERB-UDF coalition, including GERB leader Boyko Borissov, launched their Sofia Province election campaign on Sunday. The meeting in the town of Samokov presented the coalition’s MP candidates in Sofia Province.

Addressing the event, Borissov said: "The people are starting to get their bearings - they know that "The Change" [Referring to Continue the Change] is now the status quo. The development is in GERB. Let us hope that these Euro-Atlantic partners, they know whom I am referring to, understand that GERB made its concessions ten months ago - it gave [some] 30 MPs all the power. It gave to thirty-some MPs to have all the ministries, excluding the foreign ministry, the regional governors, and they started replacing regulators, and the judiciary, with party members," Borissov claimed.

According to him, the other parties are gone. "They are waiting for us to make a good result and to form a government with the MRF [Movement for Rights and Freedoms], and [them] to stand on the side and find flaws every day", Borissov argued, adding that this is their 'evil plan'. "They [supposedly CC] are not interested in a stable Bulgaria, a secure Europe or the people," he further claimed.
