Atanas Dinkov has secured at least a bronze medal for Bulgaria at the EUBC Youth Men and Women European Boxing Championships here. In the ring in Croatia, the Bulgarian boxer qualified for the semi-finals in the under 54 kg category. On Thursday, he scored a hard-fought victory over Turkiye's Ali Demirezen. 

Dinkov showed a high level and sent his opponent to a knockdown in the first round. Although Demirezen leveled the game, the Bulgarian fought his way to the semifinals after a 5-2 judges' vote. Dinkov will meet Omar Aslanli (Azerbaijan) on Friday for a place in the final.
