Four Athletes to Represent Bulgaria at Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Osijek

Four athletes will represent Bulgaria at the Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Osijek between April 4 and 7. 

Kevin Penev will compete in his first tournament for the year, after qualifying for the Olympic Games in Paris at the World Championships in Antwerp in 2023. 

He has been preparing in the US. He will compete in the following events: floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, parallel bars and vault.

On the team is Teodor Trifonov, who won the bronze medal in the floor exercise event at the World Cup tournament in Varna in 2022. He will compete in the floor exercise, still rings, parallel bars and horizontal bar disciplines. 

Rayan Radkov and Daniel Trifonov will complement the team. Radkov will compete in the pommel horse event, and Trifonov n the parallel bars and vault. 

Eighty-nine athletes from 25 countries will contest the compete in the tournament.

Antalya was the first of five stops on the 2024 World Challenge Cup circuit. After Turkiye, the competition will touch down in Osijek, Varna and Koper in May and June before concluding in Szombathely in October.
