The Middle European Class (MEC) political party does not support a government with a mandate of GERB-UDF, MEC wrote on its website on Friday.

Konstantin Bachiyski is an MP from the parliamentary group of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria and deputy chairman of MEC which, together with Volt Bulgaria, was registered as a coalition with Continue the Change for the 2021 elections.

"From the very inception and implementation of the idea and the coalition "Continue the Change", we, the members of MEC have stated our principles and goals: maximum limitation and even removal of the vicious model of governance of GERB and MRF from the governance of the state," the position states.

In its position, MEC insists that when considering the ministers-designate during the consultations for the second mandate, a better analysis of their actions and the motives for them should be made, "because we have good reasons to believe that behind some of them the faces of the mafia and the status quo are also peeking".

On Wednesday, the Green Movement, which is part of the coalition Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria, also said they would not support a government with GERB's mandate.
