The NATO Multinational Battlegroup in Bulgaria has held a Shaping Armour joint training at the Novo Selo Training Area (Southeastern Bulgaria), the Defence Ministry said on Monday. Participating were units from Bulgaria, Albania, Italy, the Republic of North Macedonia, and Montenegro. The objectives of the training were to upgrade interoperability between the battle group units, to practice unit management procedures, and to exchange experience, tactics, techniques, and procedures.

A tank platoon of the Sliven Specialists Training Centre also took part in the training.

Bulgaria participates in the Multinational Battlegroup with officers in command and staff and a mechanized company from 31st Mechanized Battalion of the 2nd Mechanised Brigade of the Land Forces.
