Representatives of GERB-UDF and Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) began negotiations on the future government here on Saturday evening. Outgoing Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov (CC-DB) and Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel (GERB-UDF) were in attendance.

Over the weekend, the two largest groups in Parliament are negotiating on the government rotation and the future of reforms after the Denkov cabinet resigned on March 5. The resignation was part of an arrangement that Denkov and Gabriel will rotate as prime minister and deputy prime minister over a nine-month period.

In addition to Gabriel, on GERB-UDF's negotiation team are GERB Deputy Chair Temenouzhka Petkova and MPs Denitsa Sacheva and Raya Nazaryan, who told reporters ahead of the negotiations that she expects constructive dialogue.

On CC-DB's negotiation team are CC co-leaders Kiril Petkov and Assen Vassilev and DB co-leaders Hristo Ivanov and Atanas Atanasov, who commented that people can rest assured that an agreement will be reached.
