Bulgarian Yuliana Yaneva won a bronze medal in the women's freestyle 72kg event at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships in Bucharest on Friday.

Yaneva took the third place without a fight after her opponent Anastasiya Alpyeyeva of Ukraine withdrew due to injury.

This is Bulgaria's sixth bronze medal and seventh in total from this tournament. Earlier on Friday, Evelina Nikolova claimed silver in the women's freestyle 57 kg weight class.
