On Monday, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Rumen Radev awarded a Bulgarian serviceman with a senior officer rank at a ceremony in the Coat of Arms Hall at Dondukov 2.

By his decree, the head of State appointed Colonel Dimitar Georgiev as Deputy Commander of the Air Force and awarded him the senior officer rank of brigadier general.

“The new rank and appointment are in recognition of your dedicated service in the ranks of the Bulgarian Armed Forces, for your demonstrated organizational qualities and responsibility, for your contribution to the development of our armed forces,” President Rumen Radev said in his address.
